By Flight
SNIEC is located halfway between Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao Airport, 33 km away from Pudong International Airport to the east, and 32 km away from Hongqiao Airport to the west. You may choose to fly to either of the above airports at your convenience.
From Shanghai Pudong International Airport to SNIEC
- Taxi: approx. 40 minutes
- Maglev train: 8 minutes to Longyang Road Station → transfer to Metro Line 7 → get off at Huamu Road Station
- Metro: Line 2 to Longyang Road Station → transfer to Line 7 → get off at Huamu Road Station, approx. 40 minutes
From Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport to SNIEC
- Taxi: approx. 45 minutes
- Metro: Line 2 to Longyang Road Station → walk or transfer to Line 7 → get off at Huamu Road Station
By Train
From Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station
- Taxi: approx. 45 minutes
- Metro: Line 2 to Longyang Road Station → walk or transfer to Line 7 → get off at Huamu Road Station
From Shanghai South Railway Station
- Taxi: approx. 30 minutes
- Metro: Line 1 to Changshu Road Station → transfer to Line 7 → get off at Huamu Road Station

Shanghai’s metro system provides convenient access to SNIEC, with both Line 2 and Line 7 offering direct connections.
Option 1
Take Metro Line 7 and exit at Huamu Road Station (Exit 1 or 2).
The venue’s Entrance 2# is just a one-minute walk from the station.
Option 2
Take Metro Line 2 to Longyang Road Station (Exit 9) and walk approximately 10 minutes to reach Entrance 1# of SNIEC.
How to Buy Ticket
1. Ticket Vending Machine (Recommended)
- Find a ticket machine in the station → switch to English → choose your destination → the fare will appear.
- You can pay by cash, Alipay, or WeChat.
- A blue single-journey ticket will be issued.
2. Transportation Card (Good for Multiple Trips)
- Buy a Shanghai Public Transportation Card at the service window (20 RMB deposit).
- It can be recharged and used for metro, buses, taxis, and refunded before you leave Shanghai (handling fee applies).
3. Mobile QR Code (Most Convenient!)
- Download the “Shanghai Metro DADUHUI” app and link Alipay, WeChat, or UnionPay to generate a QR code for entry.
- Some gates also allow you to scan directly with Alipay or WeChat “Metro/Transit Code.”
